What Price Culture? Its community, economic and social values


The Conference will take place from 13th – 15th July in Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon to coincide with the Lakes & Legends Festival.

 

The opening event will be held this year in the Douglas Hyde Interpretative Centre, Portahard, Frenchpark on the evening of Thursday 13th July at 6.30pm with the full conference proceedings taking place on Friday 14th July from 9.00am to 4.00pm in the Northern & Western Regional Assembly Conference Room, The Square, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon. 

 

The programme for Saturday 15th July includes a centenary lecture on the North Roscommon Election of 1917 taking place in Ballaghaderreen Library and a William Partridge Commemorative Lecture in the Douglas Hyde Centre, Portahard.

 

Mr Richie Farrell, former County Librarian with Roscommon County Council is this year’s Convenor and Chairperson.
